24 dic Q: What more have you experimented with earlier to lessen junk e-mail and troll messages that triggered the 1 karma aim guideline?

A: We in the beginning thought to just render all wall structure and personal messaging friends-only automatically but hit that tip straight down rapidly since many members failed to desire that.

Another approach we'd tried would be to enhance the lag times between each successive information sent but reversed that decision because 1) they have tougher for everybody to transmit also legitimate emails 2) added sources happened to be required in order to remember when each internet protocol address sent an email 3) anyone disliked they.

As soon as we implemented the 1 karma point per content guideline, we in the beginning instituted it as a karma expense since it was the easiest to implement but we believed that moving the karma on sendee might be a lot more interesting. We additionally at first permitted silver consumers unrestricted texting because 1) it had been simple enough accomplish 2) we just be sure to provide them with a lot more qualities as soon as we can 3) they eliminated silver people from further control hence making use of less means. Unfortuitously, we'dn't anticipated the conspiracy ideas that started floating around precisely how this was all a push for men and women to purchase gold position so we right away got that off to stay away from any feeling of impropriety (sorry, Golds).
