Company Insider: we will begin by speaking through the brand new Badoo. Exactly what are the biggest modifications?
Andrey Andreev: the brand new Badoo which you can easily see today is simply a skeleton for a significant load of amazing, game-changing features that are coming reside very soon. Now the opportunity is had by us to make usage of them.
All things are new! We now have totally reconstructed the application, developed a design that is new for the brand name, and analysed and reconsidered 11 years of expertise so that you can enhance and optimise UX and simplify overcomplicated features.
BI: My impression of Badoo is that the overhaul similar to this has been due for a time. Why introduce the version that is new?
AA: you are right, we've been thinking of redesigning Badoo for a while now. For many years it started initially to remind (it internally) us of a 'Frankenstein' as we call. This occurs with every item fundamentally. As you add features, monetise or just make an effort to improve consumer experience by the addition of new enjoyable elements, it eventually becomes like just a little xmas tree with plenty of buttons, menus within menus, and numerous confusing screens etc.
The old user interface had been restricting us in a lot of means as well as that we can no longer build up new features upon an old interface though we had tweaked and improved it many times, it got to the point where I admitted.
